Johnson Realty of St. Louis Lists 100th Home

St. Louis, MO - In a little more than a year in business, Johnson Realty of St. Louis already has listed its 100th home, a pace that puts the agency ahead of the pace of a traditional realty firm. The company was founded in October 2005 as an alternative to traditional real estate companies, flat fee brokers and FSBO.

For example, Johnson Realty offers a $500 MLS listing plus 1/3% commission at closing. Traditional agents often charge no less than 3%, although, by law, this is negotiable.

"We save sellers nearly $7,000 on average," says Johnson. "We tell our clients that their equity is real money -- and they should keep it to save or put toward their new home."

In addition to cost savings, Johnson says the firm is typically able to reduce the number of days on the market for single family homes from the St. Louis average of 90 days to 55 days.
